Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Qaf. By the Glorious Qur'an, 1 Nay, but they marvel that a warner of their own hath come unto them; and the disbelievers say: This is a strange thing: 2 Why - [how could we be resurrected] after we have died and become mere dust? Such a return seems far-fetched indeed!" 3 (Thus do they imagine, although) We know well what the earth takes away from them. With Us is a Record that preserves everything. 4 But they denied the truth when it came to them, so they are in a state of confusion. 5 Have they not then observed the sky above them, how We have constructed it and beautified it, and how there are no rifts therein? 6 And the earth have We spread out, and have flung firm hills therein, and have caused of every lovely kind to grow thereon, 7 as a lesson and a reminder to every penitent worshiper. 8 And We send down water as a blessing from the sky, and grow gardens with it and the grain for harvest, 9 And tall (and stately) palm-trees, with shoots of fruit-stalks, piled one over another;- 10 As a provision for men, and enlivened a region that was dead. Even thus will be the life after death. 11 The people of Noah, dwellers of the Ra's, Thamud, 12 And the tribe of 'Ad, and Pharaoh, and the brethren of Lot, 13 And the dwellers in the wood, and the people of Tubba; each one belied the apostles, wherefore fulfilled was My judgement. 14 Were We then worn out by the first creation? Yet they are in doubt about a second creation. 15
