We created man -- We know the promptings of his soul, and are closer to him than his jugular vein -- 16 When the two receivers receive, seated on the right and on the left. 17 whatever phrase he utters, an observer is present. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet shall be blown: that will be the Day whereof Warning (had been given). 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 (And the driver will say:) "You were oblivious of this, so we have removed the veil, and how keen is your sight today!" 22 And his accompanying angel said, “This is the record of your deeds, available with me.” 23 (It will be said): 'Indeed, cast into Gehenna (Hell) every deviating unbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 Who sets up another god with Allah, so do cast him into severe chastisement. 26 ۞ His Companion will say: "Our Lord! I did not make him transgress, but he was (himself) far astray." 27 He saith: Contend not in My presence, when I had already proffered unto you the warning. 28 The Word is not changed with Me; I wrong not My servants.' 29
