۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 Then Pharaoh sent heralds to the cities (to mobilise troops) 53 Most surely these are a small company; 54 And verily they have enraged us. 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 We deprived them (the unbelievers) of gardens, springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus it was; and We made the children of Israel possess them. 59 And they overtook them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 We commanded Moses: "Smite the sea with your staff." And it parted, and every parting was like a lofty mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 Then We drowned the others. 66 In this there was certainly evidence (of the Truth), but most of them did not have any faith. 67 And verily thy Lord is He, the Exalted in Might, Most Merciful. 68
