۞ Blessed is He who sent down the Criterion upon His Servant that he may be to the worlds a warner - 1 He to Whom belongs the dominion of the heavens and the earth, and Who has begotten no son (children or offspring) and for Whom there is no partner in the dominion. He has created everything, and has measured it exactly according to its due measurements. 2 Yet they choose apart from Him gods who have not created any thing and have themselves been created, who possess no power over their loss or gain, or their death or life or being raised to life again. 3 And those who disbelieve say: This is nothing but a lie which he has forged, and other people have helped him at it; so indeed they have done injustice and (uttered) a falsehood. 4 And they say: "Fables of ancient times which he has caused to be written down, so that they might be read out to him at morn and evening!" 5 Say: "He who knows the secrets of the heavens and the earth has revealed it to me; and He is surely forgiving and kind." 6 And they say: What is the matter with this Apostle that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him? 7 Or, why has no treasure been thrown to him, or a garden for him to eat from' And the harmdoers say: 'The man you follow is surely bewitched' 8 O dear Prophet (Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) see how they invent examples for you – they have therefore gone astray, unable find a road. 9
