(Muhammad), have you ever seen the one who has turned away (from guidance), 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Hath he knowledge of the Unseen so that he seeth? 35 Nay, is he not acquainted with what is in the Books of Moses- 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 “That no bearer of a burden shall bear the burden of another, 38 And that man can have nothing but what he does (good or bad). 39 That (the fruit of) his striving will soon come in sight: 40 then he shall be recompensed for it with the fullest recompense, 41 That to thy Lord is the final Goal; 42 that it is He who causes to laugh and causes to weep. 43 And He who ordains death and life; 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 And that He hath ordained the second bringing forth; 47 And that it is He Who enricheth and preserveth property. 48 That He is the Lord of Sirius (the Mighty Star); 49 It is He who utterly destroyed the ancient tribes of Ad, 50 and Thamud, leaving no trace [of them,] 51 And the people of Nuh (Noah) aforetime, verily, they were more unjust and more rebellious and transgressing [in disobeying Allah and His Messenger Nuh (Noah)]. 52 And He destroyed the overthrown cities [of Sodom to which Prophet Lout (Lot) was sent]. 53 so that there covered it that which covered. 54 Then which of the favors of your Lord do you doubt? 55 He (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) is a Herald of Warning, like the former Heralds of Warning. 56 The Imminent is near at hand; 57 There shall be none besides Allah to remove it. 58 Does this statement seem strange to them 59 Why do you laugh rather than weep? 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
