۞ By inspiration we told Moses: "Travel by night with my servants; for surely ye shall be pursued." 52 Then Pharaoh sent into the cities summoners, 53 Most surely these are a small company; 54 And indeed, they are enraging us, 55 and we are a host on our guard.' 56 and so we have [rightly] driven them out of [their] gardens and springs, 57 And treasures and agreeable mansions. 58 Thus it was: but [in the course of time] We were to bestow all these [things] as a heritage on the children of Israel. 59 And so [the Egyptians] caught up with them at sunrise; 60 And when the two groups saw each other, those with Moosa said, “They have caught us.” 61 Musa said: by no means; verily with me is my Lord; He shall guide me. 62 Then We inspired Moses, saying: Smite the sea with thy staff. And it parted, and each part was as a mountain vast. 63 And We advanced thereto the pursuers. 64 And We saved Moses and those with him, all together. 65 But We drowned the others. 66 Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. 67 Indeed your Lord is mighty and merciful. 68
