۞ AND [there came a time when] We inspired Moses thus: "Go forth with My servants by night: for, behold, you will be pursued!" 52 And Pharaoh sent heralds unto all cities, 53 [And said], "Indeed, those are but a small band, 54 who have enraged us greatly. 55 But we are a numerous host, ever on guard." 56 Thus did We take them away from gardens and watersprings, 57 Treasures, and every kind of honourable position; 58 and We made the Children of Israel inheritors of these bounties. 59 Then they pursued them at sunrise. 60 And when the two parties saw each other, the companions of Musa said: verily we are overtaken. 61 [Moses] said, "No! Indeed, with me is my Lord; He will guide me." 62 Then We inspired Musa (Moses) (saying): "Strike the sea with your stick." And it parted, and each separate part (of that sea water) became like the huge, firm mass of a mountain. 63 And We brought near, there, the others. 64 And We delivered Musa and those with him together. 65 and drowned the other party. 66 Verily! In this is indeed a sign (or a proof), yet most of them are not believers. 67 Verily your Lord is Immensely Mighty, Ever Compassionate. 68
