Tell them the story of Abraham, 69 When he said to his father and his people, “What do you worship?” 70 They said, "We worship idols and remain to them devoted." 71 He said, 'Do they hear you when you call, 72 'Can they benefit you or harm you' 73 They exclaimed: But we found our forefathers doing the same!" 74 He said: See now that which ye worship, 75 you and those ancient forebears of yours? 76 are my enemies? Not so the Lord of the Universe. 77 “The One Who created me, so He will guide me.” 78 and He gives me to eat and drink, 79 And when I sicken, then He healeth me, 80 He who will cause me to die and bring me back to life; 81 And who I aspire that He will forgive me my sin on the Day of Recompense." 82 My Lord! Bestow Hukman (religious knowledge, right judgement of the affairs and Prophethood) on me, and join me with the righteous; 83 And ordain for me a goodly mention among posterity 84 and place me amongst the inheritors of the Garden of Bliss. 85 And forgive my father. Indeed, he has been of those astray. 86 "And let me not be in disgrace on the Day when (men) will be raised up;- 87 The Day when neither wealth nor sons shall benefit 88 and when he alone will be saved who comes to God with a sound heart." 89 For, [on that Day,] paradise will be brought within sight of the God-conscious, 90 And Hellfire will be brought forth for the deviators, 91 And it shall be said to them: Where are those that you used to worship; 92 other than Allah? Do they help you or even help themselves' 93 And they will be pitched into it, they and the perverse 94 and so too the hosts of Iblis, all of them. 95 Disputing among themselves they will say: 96 By Allah, we have indeed been in an error manifest. 97 When we equated you with the Lord of the worlds. 98 And none has brought us into error except the Mujrimun [Iblis (Satan) and those of human beings who commit crimes, murderers, polytheists, oppressors, etc.]. 99 So we have no intercessors, 100 Nor any sincere friend. 101 "'Now if we only had a chance of return we shall truly be of those who believe!'" 102 Lo! herein is indeed a portent, yet most of them are not believers! 103 Verily your Lord is mighty and merciful. 104

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
