The people of Lot cried lies to the Envoys 160 When their brother Lot said to them: 'Will you not be cautious? 161 Surely I am a faithful apostle to you; 162 So fear Allah and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it: my reward is only from the lord of the Worlds. 164 Do you, of all people, approach males, 165 “And leave the wives your Lord has created for you? In fact you are people who exceed the limits.” 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 [Lot] exclaimed: "Behold, I am one of those who utterly abhor your doings!" 168 'My Lord, save me and my people from that they are doing' 169 So We delivered him and his followers all, 170 Save an old woman among the lingerers. 171 Then afterward We destroyed the others. 172 And We showered a rain upon them; so what a wretched rain for those who were warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And indeed your Lord – only He is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 175
