Then the people of Lot rejected the messengers. 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear God? 161 I am for you a faithful Messenger, 162 So fear Allah, and obey me. 163 I do not ask any payment for my preaching. I shall receive my reward from the Lord of the Universe. 164 What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, 165 And leave what your Lord has created for you as mates? But you are a people transgressing." 166 They said, "If you do not desist, O Lot, you will surely be of those evicted." 167 He said: "I do detest your doings." 168 “My Lord, rescue me and my family from their deeds.” 169 So We delivered him and his people all together, 170 except an old woman who remained behind. 171 then We destroyed the others, 172 and We sent upon them a rain, an evil rain that fell on those who had been warned. 173 Verily, in this is indeed a sign, yet most of them are not believers. 174 And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. 175
