Indeed this is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe; 192 trustworthy divine inspiration has alighted with it from on high 193 Upon your heart, for you to convey warning. 194 in a clear, Arabic tongue. 195 Surely, it is foretold in the ancient scriptures. 196 Is it not a Sign to them that the Learned of the Children of Israel knew it (as true)? 197 And if We had revealed it unto one of any other nation than the Arabs, 198 who would have read it to them, they (pagans) would not have believed in it. 199 Thus do We make it traverse the hearts of the guilty. 200 They will not believe in it until they see the grievous Penalty; 201 But the (Penalty) will come to them of a sudden, while they perceive it not; 202 Then they will exclaim, "Could we have some respite?" 203 Do they wish Us then to hasten the punishment? 204 Just think: If We let them enjoy for a few years more, 205 And then cometh that which they were promised, 206 what will it then avail them, the enjoyment of days they were given? 207 And withal, never have We destroyed any community unless it had been warned 208 for a reminder, and We never harmed. 209 And it is not the Shayatin (devils) who have brought it (this Quran) down, 210 It behoveth them not, nor they can. 211 Verily, they have been removed far from hearing it. 212 So call thou not upon another god with God, lest thou shouldst be one of those that are chastised. 213 And warn thy tribe of near kindred, 214 and be meek to the believers who follow you. 215 And if they disobey thee, say thou: verily I am quit of that which ye work. 216 And rely on the Mighty, the Merciful, 217 Who seeth thee when thou standest up 218 And thy movements among those who fall prostrate. 219 Verily! He, only He, is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower. 220 Shall I inform you (O people!) upon whom the Shayatin (devils) descend? 221 They come down to every mendacious sinner, 222 The satans try to listen to the heavens but many of them are liars. 223 And the poets -- the perverse follow them; 224 Art thou not aware that they roam confusedly through all the valleys [of words and thoughts,] 225 and they say what they do not do? 226 Save those who believed and worked righteous works and remembered Allah much, and vindicated themselves after they had been wronged. And anon those who do wrong shall come to know with what a translating they shall be translated. 227
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
