Those who deny the truth say, "When we have turned to dust like our fathers, shall we be brought back to life again? 67 "Indeed we were promised this, we and our forefathers before, Verily, these are nothing but tales of ancients." 68 Say: Travel in the earth, then see how was the end of the guilty. 69 Do not sorrow for them, nor be thou straitened for what they devise. 70 Yet they say: "When will this promise come to pass? (Tell Us) if you speak the truth." 71 Say: "It may be that some of the events which ye wish to hasten on may be (close) in your pursuit!" 72 Indeed your Lord is Most Munificent upon mankind, but most men do not give thanks. 73 And indeed, your Lord knows what their breasts conceal and what they declare. 74 for there is nothing [so deeply] hidden in the heavens or on earth but is recorded in [His] clear decree. 75 Surely this Koran relates to the Children of Israel most of that concerning which they are at variance; 76 It is a guide and mercy for the believers. 77 And verily thine Lord shall decide between them with His judgment, and He is the Mighty, the Knowing. 78 Hence, place thy trust in God [alone] - for, behold, that in which thou believest is truth self-evident. 79 You cannot make the dead hear, nor can you make the deaf hear your call, when they turn their backs on it, 80 just as thou canst not lead the blind [of heart] out of their error; none canst thou make hear save such as [are willing to] believe in Our messages, and thus surrender themselves unto Us. 81 ۞ Now, [as for the deaf and blind of heart -] when the word [of truth] stands revealed against them, We shall bring forth unto them out of the earth a creature, which will tell them that mankind had no real faith in Our messages. 82
