Evil has become rife on the land and at sea because of men's deeds; this in order that He may cause them to have a taste of some of their deeds; perhaps they will turn back (from evil). 41 Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Travel in the land and see what was the end of those before (you)! Most of them were Mushrikun (the disbelievers in the Oneness of Allah, polytheists, idolaters, etc.)." 42 Set, then, thy face steadfastly towards the one ever-true faith, ere there come from God a Day [of reckoning - the Day] which cannot be averted. On that Day all will be sundered: 43 Whoso disbelieves, his unbelief shall be charged against him; and whosoever does righteousness for themselves they are making provision, 44 that He may recompense those who believe and do righteous deeds of His bounty; He loves not the unbelievers. 45 Among His signs is this: He sends out the winds bearing good news so that He may make you taste His mercy, and ships sail at His command, so that you may seek His bounty, and be grateful. 46 And assuredly We sent apostles before thee unto their people. They brought them manifest signs. Then We took vengeance upon those who transgressed. And incumbent upon us was avengement of the believers. 47 Allah is He Who sends the winds, so they raise clouds, and spread them along the sky as He wills, and then break them into fragments, until you see rain drops come forth from their midst! Then when He has made them fall on whom of His slaves as He will, lo! they rejoice! 48 Even though, before they received (the rain) - just before this - they were dumb with despair! 49 Look then at the marks of Mercy of Allah; how He revives the earth after its death. He is the Reviver of the dead. He has power over all things. 50 If We send a (blighting) wind and they see (the earth) seared autumnal, they would surely become ungrateful. 51 So indeed, you will not make the dead hear, nor will you make the deaf hear the call when they turn their backs, retreating. 52 You cannot guide the straying blind. You can make no one listen except those who believe in Our revelations and are Muslims. 53
