O Prophet! Tell your wives and your daughters and wives of the believers that they should draw over themselves some of their outer garments [when in public], so as to be recognized and not harmed. God is most forgiving and most merciful. 59 ۞ If the hypocrites and perverts, and the rumour-mongers of Madinah, do not desist even now, We shall rouse you against them, so they would not be able to live but a short time in the city with you. 60 cursed wherever they are found, they will be seized and put to death. 61 This has been Allah's Way with those who have gone before, and you shall find no change in Allah's Way. 62 People ask you about the Hour (of the great change). Say: "Only God has knowledge of it. Who knows? The Hour may be close at hand." 63 Verily Allah hath cursed the infidels, and hath gotten ready for them a Blaze. 64 therein to abide beyond the count of time: no protector will they find, and none to bring them succour. 65 The day their faces would be turned on the fire (as on a spit), they will say: "Alas! If only we had obeyed God, and obeyed the Prophet." 66 They shall say, "Our Lord, we paid heed to our leaders and our elders, but they led us away from the right path. 67 O our Sustainer! Give them double suffering, and banish them utterly from Thy grace!" 68
