۞ O men, it is you who stand in need of God. As for God, He is above all need, worthy of praise. 15 If He will, He can be rid of you and bring (instead of you) some new creation. 16 that is not difficult for God. 17 And no bearer of burdens will bear the burden of another. And if a heavily laden soul calls [another] to [carry some of] its load, nothing of it will be carried, even if he should be a close relative. You can only warn those who fear their Lord unseen and have established prayer. And whoever purifies himself only purifies himself for [the benefit of] his soul. And to Allah is the [final] destination. 18 Equal are not the blind and those who can see, 19 Nor are the depths of Darkness and the Light; 20 Nor are the (chilly) shade and the (genial) heat of the sun: 21 nor are the living and the dead. God causes whom He will to hear Him, but you cannot make those who are in their graves hear you. 22 You are no more than a warner. 23 We have sent you with the truth, a bearer of glad tidings and warning, for there is no nation, that has not had a warner pass away in it. 24 If they give the lie to you now, those that went before them also gave the lie to their Messengers when they came to them with Clear Proofs, with Scriptures, and with the Illuminating Book. 25 Then did I punish those who disbelieved, so how was the manifestation of My disapproval? 26
