Y S (Yaa Seen)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Ya-Sin. 1 I swear by the Quran full of wisdom 2 That you are indeed one of those sent 3 On a Straight Way. 4 (The Qur’an is) Sent down by the Almighty, the Most Merciful. 5 That thou mayst warn a folk whose fathers were not warned, so they are heedless. 6 Already hath the judgment, (for their infidelity) proved true of most of them, for they believe not. 7 We have enchained their necks up to their chins. Thus, they cannot bend their heads (to find their way). 8 and We have set a barrier before them and a barrier behind them, and We have covered them up so that they cannot see. 9 And it is the same for them, whether you warn them or do not warn them – they will not believe. 10 You only warn he who follows the Remembrance and fears the Merciful in the Unseen. Give to him glad tidings of forgiveness and a generous wage. 11 Surely, it is We who revive the dead and write down what they have forwarded and what they have left behind; We have counted everything in a Clear Book. 12
