The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every (kind of) scandal-monger and-backbiter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 It will engulf them. 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
