Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 And strike sparks of fire, 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 raising a trail of dust, 4 Penetrating forthwith as one into the midst (of the foe); 5 VERILY, towards his Sustainer man is most ungrateful 6 To this he himself shall bear witness. 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ Does he not know that when that which is in the graves is overthrown, 9 And the hearts' contents shall be brought into the open? 10 That their Lord had been Well-acquainted with them, (even to) that Day? 11
True are the words of God the Almighty.
