O you who believe, do not practice usury, charging doubled and redoubled (interest); but have fear of God: you may well attain your goal. 130 Keep away from the Fire prepared for the infidels; 131 And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may obtain mercy. 132 ۞ And vie with one another for your Lord's forgiveness and for a Paradise as vast as the heavens and the earth, which has been prepared for the God-fearing, 133 Who expend both in joy and tribulation, who suppress their anger and pardon their fellowmen; and God loves those who are upright and do good, 134 and those who, if they commit indecency or wrong themselves remember Allah and ask forgiveness of their sins for who but Allah forgives sins and those who do not persist in what they do while they know. 135 Those! their meed is forgiveness from their Lord and Gardens whereunder rivers flow; they shall be abiders therein. Excellent is the hire of the workers! 136 There have been many dispensations before you; so travel in the land and see what befell those who denied the truth. 137 This [Qur'an] is a clear statement to [all] the people and a guidance and instruction for those conscious of Allah. 138 Do not be weak, neither sorrow while you are the upper ones, if you are believers. 139 If a wound has befallen you a similar wound has already befallen the people who are opposed to you. We make such movements to men in turn so that Allah might mark out those who are the true men of faith and select from among you those who do really bear witness (to the Truth): for Allah does not love the wrong-doers, 140 And that Allah may prove those who believe, and may blight the disbelievers. 141 Do you think that you will enter Paradise before Allah tests those of you who fought (in His Cause) and (also) tests those who are As-Sabirin (the patient ones, etc.)? 142 You were longing for death, before you met it. Now you have seen it with your own eyes. 143
