The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By those who range themselves in rows; 1 By those (angels) who drive the clouds in a good way. 2 And thus proclaim the Message (of Allah)! 3 that your Lord is the only Lord. 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 Surely We have adorned the nearest heaven with an adornment, the stars, 6 And to guard against every rebellious devil. 7 [so that] they [who seek to learn the unknowable] should not be able to overhear the host on high, but shall be repelled from all sides, 8 driven away, and will suffer eternal punishment. 9 Except him who snatches off but once, then there follows him a brightly shining flame. 10 Ask them thou: are they stronger in structure or those others whom We have created? Verily We! We have created them of a sticky clay. 11 No, you marvel, while they scoff. 12 And when they are reminded, they mind not, 13 and, when they see a sign, would scoff; 14 And say, "This is nothing but evident sorcery! 15 “When we are dead and have turned into dust and bones, will we certainly be raised again?” 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: 'Yes, and in all lowliness.' 18 There will be a single stern rebuff and lo, they will be observing with their own eyes (all that they had been warned against). 19 They will say, "Ah! Woe to us! This is the Day of Judgment!" 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21
