The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By those (angels) ranged in ranks (or rows). 1 by those who drive away the devil (to protect Our revelation), 2 and those who recite the Exhortation; 3 surely your God is One, 4 Lord of the heavens and the earth, and of what between them is Lord of the Easts. 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have made them secure against every rebellious, satanic force, 7 so they cannot listen to the High Assembly, for they are pelted from every side. 8 With a driving fusillade, and theirs shall be a torment perpetual; 9 Except one who snatches [some words] by theft, but they are pursued by a burning flame, piercing [in brightness]. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Rather you are surprised, whereas they keep mocking. 12 When they are reminded, they do not pay heed, 13 When they see a sign, they laugh at it, 14 and say: “This is nothing but plain sorcery. 15 They say, "Shall we be brought to life again after we die and turn into dust and bones? 16 And our fathers too?" 17 Say, "Yes, and you will be [rendered] contemptible." 18 There will only be a single jerk, and they will gape, 19 And say: Ah, woe for us! This is the Day of Judgment. 20 “Yes, this is the Day of Final Decision that you used to deny as a lie.” 21
