3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and We made his seed the survivors, 77 We perpetuated his praise in later generations. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And, verily, among those who followed his [Nuh's (Noah)] way (Islamic Monotheism) was Ibrahim (Abraham). 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart [attached to Allah Alone and none else, worshipping none but Allah Alone true Islamic Monotheism, pure from the filth of polytheism]. 84 Behold! he said to his father and to his people, "What is that which ye worship? 85 A lie-- gods besides Allah-- do you desire? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he looked carefully at the stars 88 And he said, "I am indeed sick (at heart)!" 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What is wrong with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 [But] then the others came towards him hurriedly [and accused him of his deed]. 94 Said he: What! do you worship what you hew out? 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 And they designed a snare for him, but We made them the undermost. 98 And he said (after his rescue from the fire): "Verily, I am going to my Lord. He will guide me!" 99 My Lord! grant me of the doers of good deeds. 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 And when he attained to working with him, he said: O my son! surely I have seen in a dream that I should sacrifice you; consider then what you see. He said: O my father! do what you are commanded; if Allah please, you will find me of the patient ones. 102 Then, when they had both surrendered (to Allah), and he had flung him down upon his face, 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 you have indeed fulfilled your dream. Thus do We reward the good-doers.” 105 for, behold, all this was indeed a trial, clear in itself. 106 We ransomed his son with a great sacrifice 107 and We let it (the beautiful praise) remain upon him in the latter (generations), 108 Peace be with Abraham. 109 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 Then We gave him the good tidings of Isaac, a Prophet, one of the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. But among their descendants is the doer of good and the clearly unjust to himself. 113
