3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
And indeed, [it was for this reason that] Noah cried unto Us - and how excellent was Our response: 75 And We delivered him and his people from the great distress, 76 And We preserved his descendants. 77 And left (his name) for posterity. 78 Peace on Noah among all men. 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 Surely he was among Our faithful creatures. 81 Afterwards We drowned the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a heart compliant, 84 and when he said to his father and to his nation: 'What do you worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think about the Lord of the Universe?" 87 Then did he cast a glance at the Stars. 88 and he said, 'Surely I am sick.' 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 Why do you not speak?" 92 Then he turned upon them, striking them with his right hand, 93 Thereupon the people came running to him. 94 He said, 'Do you serve what you hew, 95 "But Allah has created you and your handwork!" 96 They said: Build for him a building and fling him in the red-hotfire. 97 They wanted to harm him, but We humiliated them all. 98 And he said, “Indeed I shall go to my Lord Who will guide me.” 99 My Lord! Vouchsafe me of the righteous. 100 So We gave him the good news of a clement son. 101 And when he reached the age when he could work with him, he said, "O my son, I have seen in a dream that I am sacrificing you. So tell me what you think of it!" He replied, "O my father, do as you are commanded; and God willing, you will find me steadfast." 102 Then (remember) when they both submitted to Allah’s command, and Ibrahim lay his son facing downwards. (The knife did not hurt Ismail) 103 And We called out to him saying: O Ibrahim! 104 “You have indeed made the dream come true”; and this is how We reward the virtuous. 105 Verily that! that was a trial manifest. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 Thus do We reward the doers of good 110 for he was truly one of our believing servants. 111 And We gave him good tidings of Isaac, a prophet from among the righteous. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
