And Noah had certainly called Us, and [We are] the best of responders. 75 We saved him and his people from great distress, 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 and left for him among the later folk 78 "Peace upon Noah among the worlds." 79 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Then We drowned the others 82 ۞ And indeed, among his kind was Abraham, 83 When he came to his Lord with a pure heart, 84 [And] when he said to his father and his people, "What do you worship? 85 "Is it a falsehood aliha (gods) other than Allah that you seek? 86 Then what is your thought about the Lord of the worlds?" 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 and said: “I am sick.” 89 and at that they turned their backs on him and went away. 90 Then he turned to their aliha (gods) and said: "Will you not eat (of the offering before you)? 91 What is [wrong] with you that you do not speak?" 92 Then did he turn upon them, striking (them) with the right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He said: Worship ye that which ye yourselves do carve 95 “Whereas Allah has created you and your actions?” 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 Their desire was to outwit him, but We made them to be the humiliated. 98 He said, "I will go to my Lord: He is sure to guide me. 99 My Lord, give me one of the righteous.' 100 So We gave him the good news of a boy ready to suffer and forbear. 101 And when he reached the age of traveling with him, he said: 'My son, while I was sleeping I saw that I shall slaughter (sacrifice) you, tell me what is your opinion' He replied: 'Father, do as you are ordered (by Allah). Allah willing, you shall find me one of those who are steadfast' 102 When they both agreed and Abraham had lain down his son on the side of his face (for slaughtering), 103 And We called out to him: "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the vision." Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 105 that surely was a manifest trial, 106 And We ransomed him with a tremendous sacrifice, 107 and left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 108 Salamun (peace) be upon Ibrahim (Abraham)!" 109 That is how We recompense the righteous: 110 truly, he was one of Our faithful servants. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. And of their seed are some who do good, and some who plainly wrong themselves. 113
