3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 We saved him and his people from the great distress, 76 and We made his offspring the survivors. 77 And left for him (a goodly remembrance) among generations to come in later times: 78 'Peace be upon Noah among all the worlds' 79 Verily, thus We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 80 Lo! he is one of Our believing slaves. 81 Then We drowned the disbelievers. 82 ۞ Verily among those who followed his Way was Abraham. 83 When he came to his Lord, with a sound heart. (Free from falsehood). 84 When he said to his father and his people: What is it that you worship? 85 “What! You desire, through fabrication, Gods other than Allah?” 86 What then is your opinion of the Lord of the Worlds? 87 Then he cast a glance at the stars (to deceive them), 88 And said, "I am sick," 89 But they turned their backs and went away from him. 90 Then did he turn to their gods and said, "will ye not eat (of the offerings before you)?... 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 then he turned on them, striking them down with his right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said, "How can you worship what you yourselves have carved 95 Whereas Allah hath created you and that which ye make? 96 They said, 'Build him a building, and cast him into the furnace!' 97 So they tried to execute their evil scheme upon him We therefore degraded them. (Allah saved him, by commanding the fire to turn cool). 98 And he said: "I am going away to my Lord who will show me the way. 99 Lord, grant me a righteous son.” 100 So We gave him tidings of a gentle son. 101 And when (his son) was old enough to walk with him, (Abraham) said: O my dear son, I have seen in a dream that I must sacrifice thee. So look, what thinkest thou? He said: O my father! Do that which thou art commanded. Allah willing, thou shalt find me of the steadfast. 102 So when they had both submitted their wills (to Allah), and he had laid him prostrate on his forehead (for sacrifice), 103 We called out to him "O Abraham! 104 You have fulfilled the dream (vision)!" Verily! Thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 105 Verily, that indeed was a manifest trial 106 So, We ransomed him with a mighty sacrifice, 107 And We left for him [favorable mention] among later generations: 108 "Peace and salutation to Abraham!" 109 That is how We reward those who do good. 110 Verily, he was one of Our believing slaves. 111 We gave him the glad news of the birth of Isaac, one of the righteous Prophets. 112 We blessed him and Ishaque (Isaac), and of their progeny are (some) that do right, and some that plainly wrong themselves. 113
