Noah called to Us, and We are the Best to answer. 75 And We delivered him and his followers from the mighty distress. 76 And made his progeny to endure (on this earth); 77 and We established for him a good name among posterity. 78 Peace and salutation to Nuh among the nations. 79 As such We recompense the gooddoers, 80 He was one of Our believing servants. 81 Thereafter We caused the others to be drowned. 82 ۞ And lo! of his persuasion verily was Abraham 83 (Remember when) he came to his Lord with a pure heart; 84 Recall what time he said unto his father and his people: What is it that ye worship? 85 Would you serve false deities instead of God? 86 What do you think of the Lord of the Worlds?" 87 And he glanced a glance at the stars 88 Then said: Lo! I feel sick! 89 So they went away from him, turning back. 90 Then he slipped unto their gods and said: eat ye not? 91 “What is the matter with you, that you do not say anything?” 92 And he turned upon them smiting them with his right hand. 93 So the people descended upon him. 94 He answered: "Do you worship something that you [yourselves] have carved, 95 And Allah has created you and what you make. 96 They said: Build for him a furnace, then cast him into the burning fire. 97 They desired to outwit him; so We made them the lower ones. 98 He said: 'I will go to my Lord; He will guide me. 99 My Lord, grant me a righteous (son)' 100 So We gave him the glad tidings of a forbearing boy. 101 And when he attained the age of running with him, he said: O my son! verily I have seen in a dream that I am slaughtering thee; so look, what considerest thou? He said: O my father! do that which thou art commanded; thou shalt find me, Allah willing, of the patients. 102 Then when the twain had submitted themselves and he had prostrated him upon his temple. 103 We called unto him: O Abraham! 104 Thou hast already fulfilled the vision. Lo! thus do We reward the good. 105 For this was obviously a trial- 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 'Peace be upon Abraham!' 109 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the good news of Ishaq, a prophet among the good ones. 112 And We blessed him and Isaac. Among the offspring of the two some did good and some plainly wronged themselves. 113
