3/4 Hizb 45
< random >
Noah called to Us; and how excellent were the Answerers! 75 And We rescued him and his family from the great distress (i.e. drowning), 76 and caused his offspring to endure [on earth]; 77 And We let it remain upon him in the latter: 78 Peace be with Noah among all men in the worlds. 79 That is how We recompense the righteous: 80 he was truly one of Our faithful servants. 81 Then We did drown the others. 82 ۞ Abraham was one of his followers. 83 When he came to his Lord with a free heart, 84 When he said to his father (paternal uncle) and his people, “What do you worship?” 85 Is it a falsehood-god beside Allah that ye desire? 86 What, then, do you think of the Sustainer of all the worlds?" 87 The people invited him to attend their feast). Then he looked at the stars 88 Then he said: Surely I am sick (of your worshipping these). 89 But they went away from him, turning their backs. 90 and he turned to their idols and asked them, "Do you eat? 91 What aileth you that ye speak not? 92 Then he turned against them secretly, smiting them with the right hand. 93 Then came the others to him hastening. 94 He said: "Worship you that which you (yourselves) carve? 95 While Allah created you and that which you do?" 96 They said, "Construct for him a furnace and throw him into the burning fire." 97 And they desired a war against him, but We brought them low. 98 And he said: Lo! I am going unto my Lord Who will guide me. 99 [And he prayed:] "O my Sustainer! Bestow upon me the gift of [a son who shall be] one of the righteous!" 100 (In response to this prayer) We gave him the good news of a prudent boy; 101 Then, when (the son) reached (the age of) (serious) work with him, he said: "O my son! I see in vision that I offer thee in sacrifice: Now see what is thy view!" (The son) said: "O my father! Do as thou art commanded: thou will find me, if Allah so wills one practising Patience and Constancy!" 102 When they had both submitted to God, and he had laid his son down on his face, 103 We called out to him, "Abraham, 104 "Thou hast already fulfilled the vision!" - thus indeed do We reward those who do right. 105 This was indeed a plain trial. 106 And We ransomed him with a Feat sacrifice. 107 And We left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 108 Peace be upon Ibrahim! 109 As such We recompense the gooddoers. 110 Surely he was one of Our believing servants. 111 And We gave him the glad tidings of Ishaq, a Herald of the Hidden, from among those who deserve Our proximity. 112 We had blessed him and Isaac. Some of their offspring were righteous and others were openly unjust to themselves. 113
