We also favored Moses and Aaron 114 And delivered them and their people from the great affliction. 115 And We supported them so it was they who overcame. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 And We guided them to the Straight Way. 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 "Peace be upon Moses and Aaron!" 120 Thus do We reward the doers of good 121 they were among Our believing servants. 122 So also was Elias among those sent (by Us). 123 When he said to his people: Do you not guard (against evil)? 124 Will ye cry unto Baal and forsake the Best of creators, 125 “Allah Who is your Lord and the Lord of your forefathers?” 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 except for God's sincere servants; 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 for he was truly one of Our believing servants! 132 And Lut was most surely of the apostles. 133 (Call to mind) when We delivered him and all his kinsfolk, 134 Except an old woman who was one of those who stayed behind. 135 Then We destroyed the rest [i.e. the towns of Sodom at the place of the Dead Sea (now) in Palestine]. [See the "Book of History" by Ibn Kathir]. 136 And indeed you pass over them in the morning. 137 And by night: will ye not understand? 138
