We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and We saved them and their people from the awesome calamity [of bondage,] 115 And helped them so that they became the victors. 116 And We gave them both the Book that made (things) clear. 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 and We left them thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among later generations: 119 Peace be with Moses and Aaron. 120 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 121 for those two were truly among Our believing servants. 122 And verily, llyas was one of the sent ones. 123 (Call to mind) when he said to his people: “Will you not fear Allah? 124 Call ye upon Bal and forsake the Best of creators. 125 Allah, your Lord and Lord of your forefathers? 126 They called him a liar. Thus, all of them will suffer torment 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And We perpetuated to him (praise) among the later generations. 129 Peace be on Ilyas. 130 Even thus do We reward the doers of good. 131 He was among Our believing worshipers. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 when We delivered him and his people all together, 134 Except an old woman, who became of those who stayed behind. 135 and We destroyed the others. 136 and, verily, [to this day] you pass by the remnants of their dwellings at morning-time 137 and at night, will you not understand? 138
