We were indeed gracious to Moses and Aaron, 114 and saved them and their people from great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they overcame (their troubles); 116 and We gave them the Clear Book, 117 And guided them to the Right Path; 118 And We kept their praise among the latter generations. 119 Peace be upon Moses and Aaron. 120 Verily We! thus We recompense the well-doers. 121 Indeed, they were of Our believing servants. 122 And lo! Elias was of those sent (to warn), 123 When he said to his people: "Will you not be mindful of God? 124 “What! You worship Baal (an idol) and leave the Best Creator?” – 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denied him, so they surely will be haled forth (to the doom) 127 excepting only [those who were] God's true servants; 128 and We left for him among the later folk 129 "Peace be on Elijah and his people!" 130 Indeed, We thus reward the doers of good. 131 He is truly among Our faithful devotees. 132 Lot was also one of the messengers. 133 Wherefore We saved him and his entire family 134 save an old woman among those that tarried; 135 and We destroyed the rest. 136 And indeed, you pass by them in the morning 137 And at night; will you not then reflect? 138
