We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 We saved them and their people from great distress; 115 And helped them, so that they became the victors; 116 And We gave them the explicit Scripture, 117 and guided them in the straight path, 118 and perpetuated their praise in later generations. 119 Peace be on Moses and Aaron. 120 Even so We recompense the good-doers; 121 Verily the twain were of Our bondmen believing. 122 And indeed, Elias was from among the messengers, 123 He said to his people, "Have you no fear [of God?] 124 Will you invoke Baal and forsake [God,] the best of artisans 125 God, your Lord, and the Lord of your fathers, the ancients?' 126 But they cried him lies; so they will be among the arraigned, 127 except the chosen servants of God. 128 We left him thus to be succeeded by a group [of followers] among the following generations -- 129 'Peace be upon El Yaseen' 130 That is how We reward those who do good. 131 Verily he was one of Our bondmen believing. 132 Lot was certainly a Messenger. 133 When We saved him and his family, all, 134 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 135 Then We destroyed the rest. 136 And most surely you pass by them in the morning, 137 And at night; do you not then understand? 138
