We also bestowed Our favour on Moses and Aaron: 114 and We delivered them and their people from the great distress. 115 And We helped them, so they were victorious. 116 and We gave them the Book which helps to make things clear; 117 and guided them upon the Straight Path. 118 And We left for the twain among the posterity: 119 Peace be unto Musa and Harun. 120 Verily, thus do We reward the Muhsinun (good-doers - see V. 2:112). 121 Indeed they are two of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 122 Surely, Elias too was among the Messengers. 123 when he spoke [thus] to his people: "Will you not remain conscious of God? 124 Do you call on Baal and abandon the Best of Creators, 125 God, your Sustainer and the Sustainer of your forebears of old?" 126 But they denounced him as a liar, so they will surely be arraigned (for punishment), 127 Except the chosen servants of Allah. 128 And we left for him among the later folk (the salutation): 129 Salamun (peace) be upon Ilyasin (Elias)!" 130 Lo! thus do We reward the good. 131 He is indeed one of Our high ranking, firmly believing bondmen. 132 And indeed, Lot was among the messengers. 133 Recall what time We delivered him and his household, all. 134 except an old woman who lingered, 135 Then We destroyed the others. 136 You pass by them in the morning 137 and by night. Will you not, then, use your reason? 138
