54 verses, revealed in Mecca after Forgiver (Ghaafer) before Consultation (Al-Shooraa)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Ha'. Mim. 1 This is the revelations from the Beneficent, Merciful God. 2 A Book the verses of which are explained in detail, the Qur’an in Arabic for people of intellect. 3 Giving good news and admonition: yet most of them turn away, and so they hear not. 4 And they say: Our hearts are under coverings from that to which you call us, and there is a heaviness in our ears, and a veil hangs between us and you, so work, we too are working. 5 Say thou: "I am but a man like you: It is revealed to me by Inspiration, that your Allah is one Allah: so stand true to Him, and ask for His Forgiveness." And woe to those who join gods with Allah,- 6 (To) those who do not give poor-rate and they are unbelievers in the hereafter. 7 Verily those who believe and work righteous works - unto them shall be a hire unceasing. 8
