۞ When (Jesus) the son of Mary is held up as an example, behold, thy people raise a clamour thereat (in ridicule)! 57 "Are our gods any better than Jesus (for according to Muhammad), if our gods go to hell so too will Jesus. What they say is only a false argument. In fact, they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He is only a servant We blessed, and We made him to be an example to the Children of Israel. 59 And if We willed, We could have established angels on the earth instead of you. 60 (Muhammad), tell them, "Jesus is a sign of the Hour of Doom. Have no doubt about it and follow me; this is the straight path. 61 And let not Satan turn you aside. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. 62 When Jesus came with the signs, he said: "I have come to you with authority, and to explain some thing about which you are at variance. So fear God, and follow me. 63 Assuredly God is my Lord and your Lord; therefore serve Him; this is a straight path.' 64 But the factions among them differed. Then woe unto those who do wrong from the doom of a painful day. 65 They await but the Hour: that it should come upon them of a sudden, while they perceive not. 66 Close friends, that Day, will be enemies to each other, except for the righteous 67
