Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
HA MIM. 1 The revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth are signs unto the believers. 3 in your own creation and all the creatures He has spread about, there are signs for people of sure faith; 4 and in the succession of night and day, and in the provision that Allah sends down from the sky wherewith He gives life to the earth after it had been lifeless, and in the change of the winds: (in all these) there are Signs for people who use reason. 5 These are the revelations of God which We recite to you for a genuine purpose. In what statements other than God's and His revelations will they then believe? 6 Ruin is for every great slanderer, excessive sinner. 7 Who heareth the revelations of Allah rehearsed unto him, and yet persisteth with stiff-neckedness as though he heard them not. Announce thou unto him, then, a torment afflictive. 8 And when he comes to know about any of the verses, he mocks at it; for them is a disgraceful punishment. 9 Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them. 10 Such is Our guidance; those who reject their Lord's revelations shall suffer a woeful punishment. 11
