And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 (Remember!) that the two receivers (recording angels) receive (each human being after he or she has attained the age of puberty), one sitting on the right and one on the left (to note his or her actions). 17 not a word he utters, but by him is an observer ready. 18 Lo, the agony of death has indeed come with the Truth. That is what you had sought to avoid. 19 And the Horn shall be blown; that is the Day of Threat! 20 Every soul will be accompanied (by an angel) behind him and another as a witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 And (unto the evil-doer) his comrade saith: This is that which I have ready (as testimony). 23 "Cast into Hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 forbidder of good, transgressor and doubter, 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ His [devil] companion will say, "Our Lord, I did not make him transgress, but he [himself] was in extreme error." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 "The Word changes not before Me, and I do not the least injustice to My Servants." 29
