And assuredly We have created man and We know whatsoever his soul whispereth unto him, and We are nigher unto him than his jugular vein. 16 and the two recording angels are recording, sitting on the right and the left: 17 Man does not utter any word except that with him is an observer prepared [to record]. 18 And the intoxication of death will bring the truth; that is what you were trying to avoid. 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul shall come, with it a driver and a witness. 21 Certainly you were heedless of it, but now We have removed from you your veil, so your sight today is sharp. 22 And his companion (angel) will say: "Here is (this Record) ready with me!" 23 Do cast into hell every ungrateful, rebellious one, 24 "Every obstructor of good, transgressor, and the sceptic, 25 and has set up another deity with Allah. Hurl him into the grievous torment.” 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 The Sentence that comes from Me cannot be changed, and I am not unjust (to the least) to the slaves." 29
