Indeed, We created the human. We know the whisperings of his soul, and are closer to him than the jugular vein. 16 [And so,] whenever the two demands [of his nature] come face to face, contending from the right and from the left, 17 He uttereth no word but there is with him an observer ready. 18 And the hardship of death came with the truth; “This is what you were escaping from!” 19 And the trumpet is blown. This is the threatened Day. 20 Everyone has come, each attended by one who will drive him on, and another who will bear witness. 21 Assuredly thou wast in neglect thereof; now We have removed from off thee thy veil, so thy sight Today is piercing. 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 (The sentence will be:) "Throw, throw into Hell every contumacious Rejecter (of Allah)!- 24 hinderer of good, transgressor, causing others to doubt, 25 Who set up with Allah another god. So cast him ye twain into the torment severe. 26 ۞ His companion said: “I did not incite him to rebel; he was far gone into error of his own accord.” 27 Allah will say: wrangle not in My presence, and I had already proferred unto you the threat. 28 There is no changing of My word, nor am I unjust to My creatures." 29
