And heaven -- We built it with might, and We extend it wide. 47 We have spread out the earth and how brilliantly it is spread! 48 And in everything have We created opposites, so that you might bear in mind [that God alone is One]. 49 Therefor flee unto Allah; lo! I am a plain warner unto you from him. 50 and do not set up any deity with Allah. Surely I am a clear warner to you from Him. 51 Likewise, there came not an apostle unto those before them but they said: a magician or a madman! 52 Is this the legacy they have passed down from one to the other? In fact, they are a rebellious people. 53 Turn, then, away from them, and thou shalt incur no blame; 54 But remind, the Reminder will benefit the believers. 55 We have created jinn and human beings only that they might worship Me. 56 I do not desire provision from them, nor do I desire that they should feed Me. 57 God is certainly the great provider, Lord of strength and power. 58 And verily, they who are bent on doing evil shall have their share [of evil] like unto the share of their fellows [of old]: so let them not ask Me to hasten [their doom]! 59 woe, then, to those who are bent on denying the truth, when the Day arrives which they have been promised. 60
