And indeed the Noble Messengers came to the people of Firaun. 41 They rejected each one of Our signs. So We seized them with the grip of one mighty and powerful. 42 Are the unbelievers of yours better than these, or is there an exemption for you in the scriptures? 43 Or do they say: “We are a strong legion, strong enough for victory?” 44 Most certainly their gatherings shall be routed, and they will turn their backs. 45 Aye! the Hour is their appointed term, and the Hour shall be far more grievous and far more bitter. 46 Surely the sinners are misguided and insane. 47 On the Day whereon they shall be dragged into the Fire upon their faces, it shall be said unto them: taste the touch of the Scorching. 48 Indeed, all things We created with predestination. 49 Our commandment is but one word, as the twinkling of an eye. 50 And We have already destroyed your kinds, so is there any who will remember? 51 Every thing that they have done is in the Scrolls, 52 And everything, small and great, hath been written down. 53 Verily, The Muttaqun (pious), will be in the midst of Gardens and Rivers (Paradise). 54 Firmly established in the favour of a Mighty King. 55
