The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ The Merciful 1 has taught the Quran to (Muhammad). 2 has created man, 3 and He taught him speech. 4 The sun and the moon follow a reckoning, 5 [before Him] prostrate themselves the stars and the trees. 6 And the heaven, He raised it high, and He made the balance 7 so that you [too, O men,] might never transgress the measure [of what is right]: 8 And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance. 9 And He appointed the earth for the creatures. 10 Therein are fruit and palm-trees sheathed. 11 Husked grain and scented herb. 12 Then which of the Blessings of your Lord will you both (jinns and men) deny? 13 He created man from clay like [that of] pottery. 14 And the jinns did He create from a smokeless flame of fire. 15 Which of the wonders of your Lord's power will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 16 Lord of the two Easts, and Lord of the two Wests! 17 Which of your Lord's wonders would you deny? 18 He has set two seas in motion that flow side by side together, 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 Which of the wonders of your Lord will you twain – you men and jinn – then deny? 21 From both of them emerge pearl and coral. 22 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 23 His are the high-sailed vessels in deep ocean like the mountains. 24 Which, then, of your Sustainer's powers can you disavow? 25
