Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I swear by Mawaqi (setting or the mansions, etc.) of the stars (they traverse). 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 That it is a Recitation honourable. 77 in a Book protected (from tampering) 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 (This Quran) is a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it such a talk (this Quran) that you (disbelievers) deny? 81 Would you reject the sustenance that you receive rather than give thanks? 82 Why, but when the soul leaps to the throat of the dying 83 and you are watching at that time 84 - And We are nearer unto him than ye are, but ye see not - 85 So why is it not, that if you are not to be repaid, – 86 Cause ye it not to return, if ye say sooth? 87 Then, if he be of those brought nigh the Throne, 88 Then [for him is] rest and bounty and a garden of pleasure. 89 And if he is of those on the right, – 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 there shall be a hospitality of boiling water, 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Lo! this is certain truth. 95 So glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
