It is He who made the earth subservient to you that you may travel all around it, and eat of things He has provided; and to Him will be your resurrection. 15 Do you feel secure that He Who is in the heaven will not cause the earth to cave in with you, and then suddenly it will begin to rock violently? 16 Or can you ever feel secure that He who is in heaven will not let loose against you a deadly stormwind, whereupon you would come to know how [true] My warning was? 17 Those who went before them belied [the truth]: then how great was My rejection of them. 18 Do they not observe the birds above them, spreading their wings and folding them in? None can uphold them except (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly (Allah) Most Gracious: Truly it is He that watches over all things. 19 Or who is he that will be an army unto you to help you instead of the Beneficent? The disbelievers are in naught but illusion. 20 Or who is there that can provide you with Sustenance if He were to withhold His provision? Nay, they obstinately persist in insolent impiety and flight (from the Truth). 21 Is he who walks grovelling upon his face better guided, or he who walks upright upon a straight path? 22 Say thou: He it is who hath brought you forth and hath endowed you with hearing and sights and hearts. Little thanks it is ye give! 23 Say, "It is He who has scattered you on the earth; and it is to Him that you shall all be gathered [on the Day of Resurrection]. 24 But they [only] ask, "When is this promise to be fulfilled? [Answer this, O you who believe in it,] if you are men of truth!" 25 Say: "As to the knowledge of the time, it is with Allah alone: I am (sent) only to warn plainly in public." 26 Then, when they see it drawing near, the faces of the unbelievers will be blackened, and it is said: 'This is what you were promised' 27 Say: 'What think you? If God destroys me and those with me, or has mercy on us, then who will protect the unbelievers from a painful chastisement?' 28 Say: "He is the Most Gracious: we have attained to faith in Him, and in Him have we placed our trust; and in time you will come to know which of us was lost in manifest error." 29 Say: "See ye?- If your stream be some morning lost (in the underground earth), who then can supply you with clear-flowing water?" 30
