Incontestable (Al-Haaqqah)
52 verses, revealed in Mecca after Kingship (Al-Mulk) before The Heights (Al-Ma'aarej)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ The indubitable event! 1 What is the Reality? 2 And what will make thee realise what the Sure Reality is? 3 Samood and Ad called the striking calamity a lie. 4 So as for Thamud, they were destroyed by the overpowering [blast]. 5 And as for A'ad, they were destroyed by a fierce roaring wind, 6 that He subjected upon them for seven nights and eight days consecutively and you might have seen them struck down as if they were the stumps of palm trees that had fallen down. 7 Now dost thou see any remnant of them? 8 Pharaoh and those before him and the people of the overturned habitations all engaged in the same great sin. 9 And they disobeyed the messenger of their Lord, therefor did He grip them with a tightening grip. 10 When the water rose in flood, We bore you in the ark, 11 In order to make it a warning for you, and that the ear retentive may preserve it. 12 And when the trumpet shall sound one blast 13 And the earth and the mountains will be lifted up and crushed with a single crush. 14 Then on that Day, the Resurrection will occur, 15 And the heaven will split [open], for that Day it is infirm. 16 and the angels [will appear] at its ends, and above them, eight will bear aloft on that Day the throne of thy Sustainer's almightiness… 17 On that Day you will be brought to judgement and none of your secrets will remain hidden. 18 Then as for him who is given his book in his right hand, he will say: Lo! read my book: 19 "I did really understand that my Account would (One Day) reach me!" 20 So he shall be in a life, well-pleasing. 21 In an elevated garden, 22 The fruits of which are near at hand: 23 (And it will be said unto those therein): Eat and drink at ease for that which ye sent on before you in past days. 24 Then as to him who shall be vouchsafed his book in his left hand, he shall say: Oh! would that I had not been vouchsafed my book. 25 And had not known what is my account. 26 I wish death had put an end to me. 27 My wealth has not availed me, 28 My authority is gone away from me. 29 (It will be said): Take him and fetter him 30 “Then hurl him into the blazing fire.” 31 "Then fasten him with a chain whereof the length is seventy cubits!" 32 Lo! He used not to believe in Allah the Tremendous, 33 And urged not on the feeding of Al-Miskin (the poor), 34 so today he has no friend here, 35 "Nor hath he any food except the corruption from the washing of wounds, 36 None shall eat it but the sinners. 37

Notes and Instructions
قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
