Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
۞ Proclaim (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him), “I have received the divine revelation that some jinns attentively listened to my recitation, so they said, ‘We have heard a unique Qur’an.’ 1 Guiding unto rectitude; wherefore we have believed therein, and we shall by no means associate with our Lord anyone. 2 And [it teaches] that exalted is the nobleness of our Lord; He has not taken a wife or a son 3 And that the foolish one among us used to speak concerning Allah an atrocious lie. 4 And that we thought that men and jinn did not utter a lie against Allah: 5 'And verily, there were men among mankind who took shelter with the masculine among the jinns, but they (jinns) increased them (mankind) in sin and disbelief. 6 And indeed they imagined, even as ye imagined, that Allah will not raise any one. 7 (The jinn continued saying): "We made our way towards heaven, but we found it filled with stern guards and a flame. 8 'And verily, we used to sit there in stations, to (steal) a hearing, but any who listens now will find a flaming fire watching him in ambush. 9 And so we do not know whether evil is intended for those on earth, or whether their Lord intends to guide them. 10 And of us there are some righteous, and of us are some otherwise; we have been following very diverse paths. 11 We know that we cannot frustrate Allah in the earth, nor can we frustrate Him by flight. 12 So when we heard the guidance we believed in it; and he who believes in his Lord will neither fear loss nor force. 13 And of us some are Muslims, and of us some are deviators. Then whosoever hath embraced Islam - such have endeavoured after a path of rectitude. 14 And as for those who are unjust, they are firewood for hell. 15 (Say): "If they keep to the right path We shall give them water in abundance to drink 16 so that We may test them by it -- whoever turns away from the remembrance of his Lord shall be sternly punished. 17 And [know] that all worship is due to God [alone]: hence, do not invoke anyone side by side with God! 18 Yet [thus it is] that whenever a servant of God stands up in prayer to Him, they [who are bent on denying the truth] would gladly overwhelm him with their crowds. 19
