NAY, but consider the moon! 32 And by oath of the night when it turns back. 33 And the daybreak when it shines; 34 Verily it is one of the greatest woes. 35 it is a warning to man, 36 Unto him of you who will advance or hang back. 37 Every soul shall be pledged for what it has earned, 38 save the People of the Right Hand 39 who in their gardens will be enquiring 40 about the guilty ones: 41 What led you into the Scorching Fire? 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 and we did not feed the needy. 44 and we were wont to indulge in sinning together with all [the others] who indulged in it; 45 And we used to deny the Day of Judgment, 46 “Till death overcame us.” 47 Then the intercession of the intercessors shall not profit them. 48 Then what is [the matter] with them that they are, from the reminder, turning away 49 As if they were alarmed donkeys 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Indeed, everyone of them desires to have sheets of revelations unfolded before them -- 52 No indeed; the truth is that they have no fear of the Hereafter. 53 but this is truly a reminder. 54 So whoever wills may heed advice from it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
