By no means! By the moon, 32 Consider the night when it departs, 33 by the brightening dawn, 34 Verily, that [hell-fire] is Indeed one of the great [forewarnings] 35 A warning unto humankind 36 A warning unto him of you who shall go forward or who chooseth to lag behind. 37 Every soul will be (held) in pledge for its deeds. 38 Except those on the right side. 39 [dwelling] In gardens [of paradise,] they will inquire 40 concerning the sinners, 41 “What drove you to Hell?” 42 They will reply, "We did not pray, 43 "Nor we used to feed Al-Miskin (the poor); 44 And we used to enter into vain discourse with those who engaged [in it], 45 And we used to call the day of judgment a lie; 46 until certainty came upon us [in death]." 47 So no intercession of intercessors will be of any use to them. 48 If such will be the Day of Judgment, what is the matter with them? Why do they run away from guidance, 49 As though they were frightened asses 50 Fleeing from a lion? 51 Nay, every man of them desires to be -- given -- scrolls unrolled. 52 No! But they do not fear the Hereafter. 53 Nay, verily. Lo! this is an Admonishment. 54 So whosoever willeth may heed it. 55 And they will not receive admonition unless Allah wills; He (Allah) is the One, deserving that mankind should be afraid of, and should be dutiful to Him, and should not take any Ilah (God) along with Him, and He is the One Who forgives (sins). 56
