In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 For the living and the dead, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 Till a limit known? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
