Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 for an appointed term? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 40
