Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
